When automotive component supplier’s Randstad factory burnt down in 2008 they were faced with reconstructing thirty years of progress in a few months. This was further compounded by the fact that they were in a temporary site which then had to relocate to their new premises once it had been rebuilt. They turned to Engineered Solutions for help with their mezzanine floor installation and shelving system.
Working in support of their civil engineering reconstruction teams, Engineered Solutions were able to guide them on slab construction and layout for the new building and provided with a flexible, open plan shelving system which suited their evolving stock range. A flexible approach to shelving systems which will readily adapt to the futuristic demands of an industry is a real advantage to such a business.
Among all the competitors, Randstad had chosen Engineered Solutions as their preferred supplier. Therefore, we provided a transferable shelving system and constructed a new mezzanine floor for their new premises. In addition, we also supplied pallet trucks, a shredding machine, an industrial floor cleaner and some packing benches, everything designed in a way that for the next 20 years it will have minimal costs as it is already built with the future in mind.
